The City of Everman Municipal Court is located in the Everman City Hall at 212 N. Race Street, Everman, Texas. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Juvenile Information
If you are sixteen years old or younger, you will be required to come to court with your parent or legal guardian. Upon receipt of your citation, a court notice will be mailed to your parent or legal guardian.

General Information
You have ten days from the date that you receive your citation to either pay the citation, make a payment plan or set your citation for court.

Payment Plan
The court offers a payment plan in which you can make weekly, biweekly or monthly payments on your citation. If you need more than thirty days to pay your citation, the court must charge a $25.00 time pay fee that is required by the state.

Deferred Adjudication
If you would like to do deferred adjudication on your citation, you will be required to pay the deferral fee, usually the same amount as the fine amount, and once the deferral fee has been paid, and you must not receive any citations in the City of Everman during your probation period. The probation period can be anywhere from thirty to one hundred and eighty days. If you do not receive any citations during your probation period, then your citation will be dismissed.

Defensive Driving
If you would like to do defensive driving on your citation, you will be required to provide the court with current proof of insurance, a valid driver's license and pay the administrative fee along with the court cost. The court will allow you ninety days to complete the defensive driving course and to obtain your driving record during those ninety days. After completion of the course, you will need to submit a certificate from the defensive driving course, along with the driving record and your citation will be dismissed.

Court Date
The court is held once a month, usually the third Friday of the month. The preliminary docket is at 1:30 p.m., the juvenile docket is at 2:30 p.m. and the contest docket is at 3:00 p.m. If you want a court date, you will need to come in and set your citation for court. You cannot make a court date over the telephone.
