Community Center Rental Rules and Regulations
Rental of the City of Everman Community Center is a privilege for residents and business owners of the City of Everman in compliance with these rules and regulations. Anyone desiring the use of the community center must provide proof of residency. WE ACCEPT CASH OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY. NO CHECKS !
The center will be available for use by reservation on a first come/first serve basis. Center rental hours are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 midnight. Any requests for use other than these times require special consideration and must be presented in writing to the City Manager. Such request must state the exact use and sponsor of the event to be held.

An off-duty police officer must be on duty for each event. He or she is to be paid $25.00 per hour (2 hour minimum) in cash only, at the time of the event. He or she will remain on the premises until the event has ended and the community center has been cleaned. Renters must give the key to the officer and he or she will inspect and lock the building and return the key to the police department.
Upon renting the community center, the City Secretary will notify the Police Chief of the rental so that he may arrange for an officer to be available.
Reservations shall be made in person at Everman City Hall. Proof of residency must be provided along with a Texas Driver's License. You must be 25 years of age or older. Reservations shall be made no more than six (6) months in advance. Deposit and rental fees must be made at time of reservation.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1. All trash picked up from building and parking area.
2. No abrasive material will be allowed on the floor for dancing purposes.
3. Clean all tables. Dispose of trash in available containers and put it in the dumpster outside.
4. Turn off all lights.
5. Turn thermostat to 60 degrees for heat, 85 degrees for air conditioning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in this area to conserve energy.
6. Remove all items of decoration from walls.
7. Dispensing of any alcoholic beverage ont he premises is prohibited. This is also a non-smoking building.
8. Any damage that exceeds the amount of deposit will be charged to the person listed on the rental agreement.
9. Any misuse of the center will disqualify you for any future rentals and could result in criminal charges !
PICKUP AND RETURN OF THE KEY
1. Take receipt of rental paid to the Police Department to obtain the key.
2. Return key to attending Police Officer.
3. Failure to return key will result in criminal charges.
4. Pick up key at rental time, no sooner.
5. Include setup and cleanup in your rental time.
CAPACITY LIMIT: 200 PEOPLE
Cancellation
72 hours notice prior to use must be given to receive full reimbursement on the rental fee, $200 damage deposit and $50 cleaning fee.
Refund checks will be mailed to applicant within ten (10) business days of the rental date.
