"The Best Little City in Texas!" |
The City of Everman has taken great strides towards the future
and its infrastructure. Projects completed recently include
a new police station, a new animal control facility, a new
library, some street improvements, completion of the East
Enon Street Bridge, reconstruction of the Shelby Water Tank,
repair and refurbishment of the High School Water Tower, as
well as installation of a SCADA System to monitor our water
with
up-to-date technology and precision.
In addition to these projects, the city has maintained a
feasible Capital Improvement Program that has been incorporated
in the annual operating budget for the purchase of new equipment.
The City of Everman also continues to build on its reserve
funds by keeping a sharp eye on budget spending.
For the last three years, including this year, the citizens
have enjoyed a reduction in their tax rate.
By
the way, the Quaker parrot (also known as a Monk parrot) on
the left represents some of the uniqueness of Everman. There
is a large community of these birds making their homes on
top of our electricity poles! They have been in the area for
quite some time and seem to thrive here! Their nests are very
visible, since they are quite large!
Whether you are already a resident of Everman or are perhaps
planning a move to our city, I encourage you to look over
our website and learn what our community has to offer, from
a friendly and courteous group of city employees to our various
community celebrations. I think you'll like what you see!
I hope you enjoy our website and come back often!
