A CHILD IS MISSING

The Everman P.D. recently began using new technology to assist in the quick locating and return of missing children. The program is called A CHILD IS MISSING.

After a child is confirmed by the police to be missing, Everman P.D. will notify the CHILD IS MISSING Network. They will provide them with all the information regarding the child, such as age, sex, gender, clothing description and any other pertinent information they may have. A CHILD IS MISSING will then generate up to 2,000 telephone calls within the first ten minutes of obtaining the information in whatever geographical area the child is missing from. The recorded call will begin with a statement such as "A CHILD IS MISSING" THE EVERMAN POLICE DEPARTMENT IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP IN LOCATING "this missing child (this may not be exact).

If you happen to receive a telephone call similar to this, PLEASE BE ADVISED IT IS A LEGITIMATE CALL! The only time it has been used by police in Everman, the child was located within ten minutes!
