Ray Richardson , Place 6, Mayor Pro Tem

Ray is the newest member of the Everman City Council. He has been a resident of Everman since February, 1971. After graduating from Everman High School in 1981, he attended Fire School with the City of Arlington and has been a professional firefighter for the past eighteen years.

Ray and his wife Belle were married in 1982 and just celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary! They both serve on the board of the Everman Baseball Association and are members of the Athletic Booster Club (of which Belle is also a board member). They have two sons: Bryan is eighteen and a graduate of EHS, presently attending Texas Wesleyan University and is a member of their baseball team. Aaron is twelve and is attending Everman Junior High and is also active in sports.

There are three things I want to see happen in Everman. First, I would like to see considerable improvements made to our city parks. Our parks need to be a place where families and the community can gather and be proud of. We should look forward to spending time at our parks.

Second would be street repairs. This is something that I had not given much thought to until becoming a council member. It is very important that we keep our streets in good condition.

And last, I would like to see Everman maintain and even improve its small town atmosphere, with more activities to bring the community together. That would involve more citizens volunteering in our community.
